Dennis Aldo
Angelotti
April 26, 1948 – May 19, 2025
Dennis Aldo Angelotti, 77, a lifelong resident of Hamden, passed away on May 19, 2025, at St. Raphael Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in New Haven on April 26, 1948, he was the cherished son of the late Aldo and Dorothy Marcheggiani Angelotti.
Dennis began his working life with grit and determination, building his career in the elevator electrical trade. A proud member of the Union of National Elevator Constructors, Local 91, Dennis took great pride in his craft and the friendships he formed throughout the years. He also dedicated significant effort to real estate ventures throughout New Haven County.
More than his work, Dennis will be remembered for the love he gave to those around him. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Family gatherings were a source of immense joy for him, whether it was a quiet visit or a boisterous celebration filled with laughter and stories. His warmth and generosity extended far beyond blood ties-if you were a friend of Dennis's, you were like family.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: long days on the water at the City Point Yacht Club, countless adventures on the open road as a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and member of HDMC; and nights with his bocce crew in West Haven, which were more about camaraderie than competition.
Dennis is known for his quick wit, fun loving and generous heart. He approached life with a smile and a spirit of resilience. Above all, he treasured his family and the time he spent with them.
He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Christine Ryan; his sons, Anthony Angelotti and Bret Zielanski; his treasured grandchildren, Christopher, Tyler, Cameron, Justin, Mason, and Madison; his great-grandchildren, Noah and Brooke. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Linda Flesher and late husband, Harris Flesher and Joyce Paquette and husband, Donald Paquette, as well as many extended family members and lifelong friends who were like family to him.
