Dolores C. Spratta, 83, wife of Anthony Spratta passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness on Sunday, September 17. She was born April 7, 1923 in Meriden a daughter of the late Albert and Minnie (Freitag) Dorchied. She opened Dee's Antiques in Meriden in 1965 and ran it with her husband and son, who will continue to operate the business. She was also a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Holly and her husband John Digertt of Middlefield, a son Thomas Spratta of Meriden, two beloved and cherrished grandchildren John A. Digertt and Jacqueline Digertt as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Jack Dorchied and two sisters, Lorraine Cassello and Janice Patzlaff. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 11:00am at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Bee St., Meriden. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 4-7pm.
