TERRYVILLE - Donald Ellis Schott, 81, of 32 Curtiss Road, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, in Leesburg, Florida. He was the husband of Barbara Jones Schott. Born in Meriden on Jan. 11, 1924, he was the son of the late Harold J. Schott and served with the 2nd Infantry Division in Europe during World War II. He was employed as a wholesale driver for Borden's Dairy until his retirement in 1979. He had been a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Meriden. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and her husband, Linda and Anthony Rinaldi of Terryville, CT; two grandchildren, Jamie Rinaldi of Providence, RI and Bethany Rinaldi of Terryville; and a nephew, William Schott of Meriden. He was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Schott and Clifford Schott. Funeral service Saturday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. David Brinkley will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services. If desired, contributions in Mr. Schott's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
