Dorine M. (Dady) Bogacki, age 96, of Wallingford, passed away January 9, 2022. Born in Hamden on December 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. & Martha (Haaf) Dady. A resident of Hamden most of her life, she was the widow of Julius Joseph Bogacki. Dorine is survived by her daughter Karen Lucisano & her husband Joseph of Milford; her son Joseph & his wife Genny Bogacki of Cheshire; grandchildren Danielle Lucisano, Kristen Smaldone & her husband Robert, and Jeffrey Lucisano; and great-grandsons Logan & Luke Smaldone. She was predeceased by her brother Walter Dady. Dorine was an administrative secretary retired from the Town of Hamden Board of Education, and a typing instructor at the Hamden Adult Education Center. She was a former chairwoman of the Senior Bowling League, former active member of the New Haven Celiac Association, and the oldest parishioner of Hamden Plains United Methodist Church. Dorine always enjoyed attending Hamden High Hockey games. Her family would like to thank Masonicare in Wallingford, especially the Wooster 2 unit, for the care and compassion she received over her years there.
Friends may visit with her family on Thursday, January 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden prior to her Funeral Service, which will begin at noon. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Masks are a must and social distancing will be observed.
