Doris L. Anderson of West Haven, wife of the late Ernest L. Anderson, Jr, passed away Jan. 10, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born in West Haven August 24, 1926, a daughter of the late Charles R. and Laurel Vowinkle Sherman and was a lifelong resident of West Haven. She had been employed with the N.Y., N.H. & Hartford Railroad and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and its Women's Society. She is survived by her children Judith Anderson and Stephen Anderson both of Wallingford, David Anderson and his wife Kathy of West Haven. Grandmother of Sarah and Mark Anderson of Wallingford. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 11 am in the BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
