Doris Thompson Shumway's Obituary
In Chester, December 31, 2007. Doris Thompson Shumway formerly of North Branford. Wife of the late Arthur L. Shumway. Born in Hamden, CT on November 12, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Flynn Thompson. Doris attended Larson College and worked for the Yale University Library for many years. She had been a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in North Haven and a past Matron of the Ethel Chapter and Trumbull Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Doris is survived by a daughter, Linda S. (Louis) Moro of Meriden, sons: Arthur L. Shumway, Jr. of Killingworth and Carl D. Shumway. Service of interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park will be private. Arrangements with BEECHER AND BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE., HAMDEN.
