Dorothy Catinello, of Centerbrook Rd., Hamden, beloved wife of the late Louis Catinello, passed away at home on November 19, 2009. She was born on November 13, 1914 in New Haven to the late Joseph and Lilla Balzano Galette. Dorothy is survived by her loving daugher, Anne Marie Murphy and her husband Robert of North Haven; devoted companion of 18 years, William Rossi of New Haven; cherished grandsons Christopher Murphy of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Thomas Murphy of North Haven; and dear brother Dominic Galette of Brooklyn, N.Y. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her dear sisters Mary Galette and Grace Marra. Dottie enjoyed taking walks in Wooster Square Park, relaxing on the beach and participating in the aerobics program at the Miller Memorial Library for many years. She will be missed for her love of life, people, singing and dancing, friendship, and most importantly, love for her family. Funeral from BEECHER AND BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, on Monday, November 23, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rita's Church, Hamden at 10 a.m..
