MERIDEN - Dorothy Sowin, 99, died Friday, May 6, 2005, at the Curtis Home. She was the wife of the late Lee Sowin. Born in Meriden on June 18, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Prentis Tyler and had been a lifelong resident of Meriden. She is survived by four nieces, Elizabeth Somerset of Southington, Lois Kroeber of Meriden, Dorothy Labbe of Meriden and Joyce Westfort Burbridge of Southington; a nephew, Richard Westfort of Meriden; and numerous greatnieces and greatnephews. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, CT.
