Dorothy P. Totton, age 81, of Ashlar Village, Wallingford, formerly of Woodbridge, passed away August 16, 2009 at the Masonic Health Center. Dorothy is the widow of Robert M. Totton; mother of Mrs. Toni T. & her husband Stephen Sullivan of Sandy Hook, Thomas M. & his wife Laurie Totton of Elgin, Illinois and Richard D. & his wife Donna Totton of Hamden. Dorothy is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Born in Bath, Maine on April 16, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Worrall & Lucy Jewett Prescott. Dorothy is a retired North Haven High School teacher. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Knapp Auditorium of Ashlar Village, Cheshire Rd, Wallingford. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery in Woodbridge. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
