Edith M. Chalmers, age 102, of North Haven passed away peacefully at her home on May 10, 2022. She was the widow of Thomas Chalmers. She was born in New Haven on December 31, 1919, a daughter of the late Henry & Catherine (Dyer) Adams. Edith was predeceased by her sisters, Henrietta Connelly, Anna Wasson, Mary Pallman, & Rita Wolfgang. She was a devoted caregiver to her special needs niece, the late Kathy Wasson, for 43 years. Edith is survived by her nephews and nieces: Douglas Pallman and his wife Catherine, Garrett Wasson and his wife Suzy, William Chalmers, Helen Stanley and Frances Pallman.
Friends may visit with her family at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to her Graveside Prayer Service, which will follow at 12 noon at Evergreen Cemetery, 769 Ella T. Grasso Boulevard, New Haven.
