In Wallingford, April 12, 2005, Edith Frances Jones Sprague, 88, of Ashlar Village, wife of the late Harold F. Sprague, formerly of West Haven and Heritage Village, Southbury. She was born Nov. 28, 1916 in New Haven, the fourth of six children to Edward and Anna Frank Jones She worked as a bookkeeper and receptionist for several area firms, including DeForrest Hotchkiss and Karp Floor Covering. She married Harold F. Sprague in 1936 and moved to West Haven, where she was an active member of the First Congregational Church for many years. Upon retirement, the Spragues moved to Heritage Village in Southbury. Edith became a valued member of the Southbury Congregational Church serving as co-chairperson of the annual rummage sale for several years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Deanna and grandchildren, Charlotta, Julie, Tracey and Eric. She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren.
