Obituary

MERIDEN - Edna Rose MacDonald Carpenter, 101, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Meriden Center. She was the wife of the late Albert E. Carpenter and had resided in South Meriden for many years. She was born in West New York, New Jersey on Jan. 26, 1907, a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Martha Haller MacDonald. She is survived by nieces, Sharon Cioffi of South Meriden, Janice Catrone of Berlin and Dianna Large of California and nephews, Thomas Link of South Meriden, Elton Link, Jr. of California and Robert D. Moreau and his wfe, Cora Nell Moreau, of South Meriden. He was predeceased by a sister, Hazel K. LaRue, a brother Alton Link, and a nephew, Frederick Link. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Section 18, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden. The Rev. Roland LaPlante will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
