Edward W. Borsari, age 87, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 27, 2026. Born in New Haven on September 11, 1938, he was a son of the late Gaston and Addie (Imarisio) Borsari. Edward was predeceased by his wife, Louise A. (Tosetti) Borsari, and his brother, David Borsari. He is survived by his daughter, Louise A. Salvati and her husband Leonard of Kensington; his sons, Edward P. Borsari and his wife Donna of Staten Island and Mark S. Borsari of Branford; grandchildren, Amanda Erba and her husband Brandon Sr. and Zack Borsari; and great-grandchildren, Alaina Erba and Brandon Erba, Jr.
Ed was a mechanic with his brother at Frenette's Power Equipment in Hamden for many years. A resident of North Haven and Hamden most of his life, he had recently resided in New York. Ed was a National Guard Veteran. He was a member of the Hamden Fish and Game, and a member of When Men Pray Group at the former Devine Mercy Parish in Hamden. Ed also formerly worked at the Dondi Company and the TILCON Corporation, where he was a member of their Union Local #478. Ed loved fishing on his boat with his children and grandchildren. He always enjoyed large family holiday gatherings. Ed was an outgoing and friendly man who would always end a meeting with a "Stop over and visit – the door is always open." He had a love for all animals, especially his dog Bruno.
Friends may visit with his family on Thursday, April 2nd from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT. His Prayer Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
