Edward Leonard Stoor, Sr, 70, husband of Roberta Onofrio Stoor of Hamden, passed away March 17, 2013 in the St Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born April 9, 1942, a son of the late Leonard and Irene Siwinski Stoor and lived in New Haven before moving to Hamden in 1973. He was employed by the New Haven Public Works Dept. for 37 years prior to his retirement in 1997. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son and his wife, Edward L. and Noelia Stoor, Jr of North Haven, a sister and her husband, Leonora and Richard DeLuca of East Haven, and 4 grandchildren, Alexis, Zachary, Anthony and Elias. Prayer and Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 20 at 10 am at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 WHITNEY AVE, HAMDEN. Friends may visit with his family Tuesday from 5-8pm.
