White, Sr., Edward C. Cheshire - Edward C. White, Sr., 74 of 1000 Notch Rd., died Sun., Sept. 26, 2004 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. Loving husband of Agnes F. White, and father of Elizabeth Rogers and her husband, Daniel of Prospect, Linda Jones and her husband, James of Cheshire, Edward White, Jr. of Winsted, Todd White of Orange County, CA, Roger White of Cheshire and brother of, Vira Williams of San Diego, CA. Mr. White was born March 11, 1930 in West Hartford, he was a veteran of the Army having served in Germany during the Korean War. He worked for Olin Manufacturing Co. and Amtrak Railroad. His hobbies included woodworking and gardening. Besides his wife and children, he leaves a granddaughter and five grandsons, a brother-in-law, Mr. Joseph Von Britton and his wife, Agnes of Northford, two sisters-in-law, Dothia Greene of New Haven and Bernice Garcia of Hamden; also a dear aunt Maude Kennedy. He also leaves a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and brother. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Friday, Oct. 1 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Bridget Church, Cheshire at 10 a.m. Friends may call Thurs. from 5 - 8 p.m. Burial with military honors in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
