Meriden- Edwyn A. Carter, 92, husband of the late, Gladys (Mueller) Carter passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Westfield Care Center. He had worked for International Silver Co. as a supervisor until his retirement. Edwyn proudly served his country in the U.S.Navy during WWII. He is survived by a son, David and his wife Kimberly Carter of Berlin, a daughter, Claudia and her husband David Sinicrope of Old Lyme and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Funeral service Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, prior to the service, from 10 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Edwyn's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450.
