Eleanor Nesbeth Faeth Farrell, 82, wife of Joseph L. Farrell of Hamden, passed away at Masonicare of Wallingford on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Born in New Haven April 4, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Sr. and Nesbeth Jaekel Faeth. Besides her husband, Eleanor is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jennifer Farrell of Hamden and Heather Barrisi (Peter) of Alabama, her grandchildren, Hunter Ketcham and Wyatt, Jackson, and Charlotte Barresi, her brother, Lawrence "Buddy" Faeth, Jr. of Shelton, and sister, Paula Faeth of Londonderry, NH. Eleanor had worked as a Patent Clerk for the Olin Corp. for many years, and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Congregational Church in Hamden. Eleanor loved photography, being with family and friends, and her cats. She also was heavily involved in The Friends of Felines Rescue Center in Ohio. She would watch the Cat Cam online while chatting with other cat lovers and was a big supporter of their cause.
Friends are invited to visit with Eleanor's family on Monday, June 3rd from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. Her Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in Centerville Cemetery.
