In Wallingford, CT, April 22, 2001, Eleanor Smith Grandy, 93, wife of the late Winfred M. Grandy formerly of Putnam Ave, Hamden. Mother of Elizabeth Jockinsen of Anaheim, CA, James W. Grandy, Westminster, VT and Alan Grandy of Sutton, NH, also survived by 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was born in New Haven, June 28, 1907 daughter of the late Benjamin & Lizzie Wheeler Smith. She was a former member of Easter Star in Warner, NH and Mayflower Society and CT Post Card Club. Funeral service at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Thurs. April 26 at 1 p.m. Friends may call Thurs. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
