MERIDEN - Eliot B. Stretch, Jr., 68, of 76 Butler St., died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at his residence. Born in Meriden on May 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Eliot B. and Mignon Davis Stretch, Sr. He was a graduate of Meriden High School and the University of Connecticut, and had been employed as a housing inspector and assistant city manager for the City of Meriden. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and was also a member of the UConn Club and St. Mary's Men's Club. He leaves no survivors. He was predeceased by a brother, Harlan Stretch. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at 10 a.m. in the Hubbard Chapel in Walnut Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Frazier will officiate. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, CT.
