Obituary

ELIZABETH ''BETTY'' HANSEN Cheshire-Elizabeth ''Betty'' Louise Hansen passed away January 9, 2002 in the Elim Park Baptist Home after a brief illness. She was born in Ansonia, Jan. 4, 1915 a daughter of the late Hans and Hermine Larsen Hansen and had resided in Hamden for many years before moving to Cheshire in 1993. She was a school secretary in the Michael Whalen Jr. High School in Hamden and an active member of the Evangelical Free Church of North Haven where she was church organist for 30 years, taught Sunday school and she was a member of the Free Church Women's Ministries. She was predeceased by three sisters, Kirsten Hansen Patrickson, Sophia Hansen Rausch, Ruth D. Hansen and a brother, Henry E. Hansen. Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Friday, Jan. 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 2:30 p.m. in Elim Park Baptist Home. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Community Bible Evangelical Free Church, 36 Sackett Point Rd., North Haven, CT 06473 or to the Elim Park Baptist Home, 140 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire, CT 06410.
