Obituary

Elizabeth Tierney Mac Kinnon passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2006, in Lewes, Delaware. Mrs Mac Kinnon had resided in her own assisted living apartment under the care of her niece, Maureen Tierney Fickel and her family for some years. Betty was born in New Haven and lived with her husband, Albert Mac Kinnon in Hamden for many years. She was a homemaker and a cherished neighbor. Betty was a trusted and much loved caregiver to three generations of Hamden children, when their parents required safe and experienced care for their youngsters. She was a active member of Saint Rita Parish and served as a volunteer at St. Raphael's Hoispital, in New Haven, where she made many friends and found pleasure in helping patients and staff there. Friends may call at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Church, 1620 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Saturday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. Those attending are invited to share a visit with family members and warm with refreshment at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale, 155 Temple St., New Haven following the interment at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
