Elizabeth Irene Hunt Mead, 90, formerly of Guilford and West Haven, passed away Sun., June 17at the Masonic Home in Wallingford, CT. Wife of the late Carlton Mead, Elizabeth is survived by daughters Karen Sokoloski and husband Ralph of East Haven, Lois Thompson of New Haven and Carlene Mead of Colchester, VT, son Peter Miner and wife Patricia of West Haven, 8 grandchildren: Peter Miner, David Mead, Carl & Jennifer Andrews, Holly & Eric Sokoloski and Edward & Welton Thompson and 14 great-grandchildren: Peter, Brandon, Chelsea, Olivia, Kaleb, Carl, Alexandria, Jacob, Dominic, Ryan, Eddie, Zachary, Miranda and Tiffany. In addition to her husband, Elizabeth was predeceased by son Charles Miner and daughter Judith Miner, brothers Loren, Walter, Melvin, Carl and Frank Hunt, sisters Esther Zampano, Gladys Latham and Doris Duane and grandson Kevin Sokoloski. A daughter of the late Frank and Sigrid Carlson Hunt, Elizabeth was born in West Haven on November 14, 1916. A graveside service will be held Sat., June 30 at 11 a.m. at Westside Cemetery, Guilford.
