Ella Reid Lathrop, In Hamden, March 4, 2002, Ella Reid Lathrop, 98, of Main St., West Haven, wife of the late Daniel L. Lathrop, Sr. Mother of Harriet Coleman of Lacy, WA, Dorothy Thomas of Waterbury, Daniel L. Lathrop, Jr. of Hamden, Robert Lathrop of Hartford, grandmother of eleven grandchildren and several great -grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, William Lathrop, a daughter, Jean Gladding and a brother, Clarence Reid. She was born in New Haven, Feb. 17, 1904, a daughter of the late William H. & Phoebe Frazier Reid. She was a cook at the former Methodist Church Home of West Haven for 16 years. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of New Haven, American Legion Aux. Post #71, WW I Aux. Barracks #850, VFW #1684, Woman's Relief Corp. #56 all of West Haven and Past State President of the American War Mothers. Funeral service and burial are private.
