Pfeffer, Elsie Robinson Elsie Robinson Pfeffer, age 95, of Hamden, passed away Jan. 3, 2009. Elsie was married in 1935 to William F. Pfeffer, who passed away in 2003. Born in Plaistow, NH on Sept. 6, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Harry Francis & Jessie Williams Robinson. She is survived by her sons, William H (wife Marjorie) Pfeffer of Hamden & Ronald F. (wife Noreen) Pfeffer of Springfield, MA; grandchildren, Christopher William Pfeffer of Hamden, Heidi A. (husband Christopher) Wayne of North Haven & Richard L. Pfeffer of Springfield; great grandson Christopher William Pfeffer Jr; sisters, Amy Robinson, Mary Robinson, Dorothy McDonough all of Plaistow, NH & Marjorie Burnett of Danville, NH. Elsie was predeceased by her granddaughter Megan Power & sisters, Charlotte Orland, Iva Caputo, Edith Teague, Ruth Robinson, Elizabeth Senter, Catherine Foster & brothers, Harry & Orra Robinson. A Hamden resident over 63 years, Elsie was a former member of the Whitneyville Congregational Church & it's Women's Club for over 40 years, past president of Whitneyville Women's Fellowship Club, volunteer at the Red Cross for 52 years, volunteer at Farnham Court Daycare Center and a present member of the Mt. Carmel Congregational Church. Her funeral will leave from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009 at 9:15 AM, with a Service at 10 am in Mt. Carmel Congregational Church, followed by her interment in Whitneyville Cemetery. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8 PM.
