Obituary

Elsie W. Richardson, 87, of 77 Paddock Ave., Meriden, died Friday, August 22, 2003, at the Meriden Care Center. She was the wife of the late Edward Richardson. She was born in East Hampton, LI, NY, Dec. 26, 1915, daughter of the late Benjamin Addison and Elsie Pearl Foster Warner. She was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church, Meriden. She was devoted to her family every winter, she would knit hats to be distributed to the homeless. Mrs. Richardson was a avid gardener. She is survived by four daughters and a son-in-law, Elsie and Edward J. Lynch of Meriden, Eleanor Adelle Richardson of Kirkland, WA, Elaine Robin Johnson of Meriden and Elizabeth Ann Verlezza of Branford, three sisters, Mildred King of Frederickson, VA, Mavis Warner of Big Bear, CA and Lucelle Monroe of FL, twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Stevens and Cora Lie Osborn and a brother, Benjamin Warner. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. David Brinley and the Rev. Wallace Merdinyan will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
