EMILY J. GORECKI Hamden-Emily J. Gorecki, 85, of 95 Carmel St., wife of the late John Gorecki passed away Saturday, January 19, 2002 after a brief illness. She was born in Ludlow, MA, a daughter of the late John and Julia Kras Bednarczyk and was employed as a secretary at the Nationwide Ins. Co. in Wallingford for 30 years retiring in 1991. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She is survived by two sons and their wives; Paul and Carol Gorecki of Milo, ME, Edward and Betsy Gorecki of Hamden, three sisters; Helen Santinelli of Tampa, FL, Ann Bednarczyk of Ludlow, MA, Sister Mary Romuald of Bangor, ME, a brother Walter Bednarczyk of Lakeland, FL, four grandchildren; Melissa and Emily Gorecki of Hamden, John and Justin Gorecki of ME, and a great grandson Kaleb Gorecki. She was predeceased by brothers Stan, Joseph and Benny Bednarczyk. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Monday, January 21, at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10 a.m. Friends may call Sunday (TODAY) from 5-8pm.
