Emily Palumbo, a longtime resident of Whitneyville, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 18, 2023. She was 56 years old. She is survived by her son, Nic, her parents, Irene and Owen Fiss, and her two sisters, Caitlin and Gina, and their families. She always saw beauty and was kind and generous to everyone she knew. She devoted her life to caring for her son and raising him. She cherished walking Max, the family dog, through the Whitneyville Cemetery, which is her final resting place.
