Priebe, Jr., Ernest R. Meriden - Ernest Robert Priebe Jr., 86, husband of Valerie Giza Priebe of 64 Kelsey Place, Madison, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001 at Middlesex Hospital Hospice after a brief illness. He was born in Meriden, Nov. 17, 1914, son of the late Ernest and Louise Cassette Priebe and had lived in Meriden until moving to Madison in 1980. He was employed at New Departure as a refrigeration technician and electrician for many years and was a member of the Elks Club of Westbrook. Beside his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Janice L. Proctor of Lawrence, KS, Sandra Twiss of Hudson, FL, a brother, Norman Priebe of Wallingford, five grandchildren, Zachary and Jeremy Proctor, David, Jeffrey and Kevin Twiss and two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Nicole Twiss. Funeral service Saturday, Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 9 a.m. Committal service will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
