Esther S. Tychsen, age 94, formerly of Hamden, passed away on May 1, 2012 in Wallingford. Esther was the widow of Alfred N. Tychsen. Born in North Haven, CT on April 1, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Peter S. & Ina Sundbald Skow and sister of the late Anna Harberg. Esther is survived by her son, William A. Tychsen & his wife Shirley of Bonita Springs, FL; her grandchildren, Sherry Tychsen of Northfield, MA and William A. Tychsen II of Fort Collins, CO and her nephew Al Harberg & his wife Marie of Glastonbury, CT. Esther was a retired bookkeeper, employed at the former Knudsen Dairy and a longtime member of the Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church. Friends may visit with her family at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Friday, May 4th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and may attend her funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM.
