Ethel M. Beverage, a long time resident of Hamden, died Monday evening March 29, 2010 at the Hospital of St. Raphael after a brief illness. She was 79 years old. Born August 14, 1930 in Monroe, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Daisy Arbuckle Hamm. She married Keith Douglas Beverage of North Haven, Maine, June 1947 and was preceded in death by him August 2001. She is survived by her children, Diane (William) Hines of Houston, TX and Keith D. Beverage of Stamford; granddaughters, Katherine (Michael) Romig and Arlene (Darrell) Chipman, also of Houston; great grandchildren, Ben Romig, Lillian and Hugh Chipman. Additional survivors include sisters Kathleen Smith, Jean Howard, Carlene Carrano and Dorothy Dyer and brothers Lloyd Hamm and Raymond Hamm and their extended families. She is preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Private arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
