MERIDEN - Ethel L. Dobrindt, 83, formerly of Rockledge Drive, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Warren J. Dobrindt. She was born in Middletown on Sept. 2, 1921, the daughter of the late George and Ethel L. Marks Sauermann. She had been employed at the Fosdick Corporation, retiring as a secretary and office assistant and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and active in their Women's Club. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Dobrindt of Meriden and James and Maureen Dobrindt of Meriden; two grandsons, Jason Dobrindt of Rocky Hill and Michael Dobrindt of Meriden. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lloyd Sauermann and Robert Sauermann and four sisters, Hazel Kuchle, Gladys Scory, Bernice Ryden and Clara Sauermann. Funeral service Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Alden Barnes will oficiate. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
