In New Haven, July 20, 2003, Evelyn Simmons Lassen, 83, of Third Ave., West Haven, wife of the late Howard L. Lassen, Jr., mother of Joan Duffy of West Haven and also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Eleanor Coe, Marjorie Trace and Marion Dillman. Evelyn was born June 15, 1920 in West Haven, daughter of the late Frederick and Emma Butler Simmons and was a lifelong West Haven resident. Friends may call Tues., (TODAY) at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral service at 7:30 p.m.
