Felicia Mathis of 105 Hubbard Place, Hamden, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Yale New Haven Hospital after her battle with cancer. She was born January 26, 1966 in Walterboro, SC and lived most of her life in West Haven. She was a 1983 graduate of West Haven High School. She was employed by the New Haven Department of Public Health as a school nurse at Hill Regional Career Magnet High School. She was a member of the Whitney Avenue Church of Christ in North Haven where she taught Bible classes. Felicia is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael Mathis and three children, Ilicia, Michaela and Michael, Jr. all of Hamden. Felicia is also survived by her parents, Andrew and Judy (Brown) Howard; three brothers, Eldrain Howard, Chadwick Howard and Dedrick Howard; five nieces; Calaura Howard, Jazzlynn Howard, Eldrahia Howard, Brianna Howard, Jackie Howard all of West Haven, three nephews, Wayne Howard, Milan Howard of West Haven and Javier Howard of Tarpon Springs, FL; aunts and uncles and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends and relatives may call at the Whitney Avenue Church of Christ, 2141 Whitney Ave., North Haven, Wed., April 20 from 9:30 - 11 a.m. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
