In Milford, May 5, 2001, Florence Ryan Shirley Hodgkinson, 84, wife of the late Robert W. Hodgkinson of Colonial Boulevard, West Haven. Mother of David Hodgkinson of Orange and Robert Hodgkinson of Punta Gorda, FL. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was born in New Haven, Sept. 2, 1916 daughter of the late William & Christine Lang Ryan. She was a hairdresser for the former Hotel Taft and a devoted mother. Funeral service at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave. at Court St., West Haven, Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. Friends may call Friday from 9 - 10 a.m. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven.
