Florence L. Wynne, 97, of New Haven, wife of the late James Wynne, passed away on April 10, 2013. She was born in New Haven on January 2, 1916 to the late Howard and Louise Wiedmann Bray. Florence worked for many years at Channel 8 News as a billing clerk and was a member of the 339 Club at Bella Vista. She was an avid reader and greatly enjoyed traveling. Family was the most important thing to Florence. Time spent with them meant everything, especially when her grandchildren were involved. Florence will be remembered by her children and their spouses, Nancy & Raymond Benoit of Woonsocket, RI and Michael & Paula Wynne of Middlebury; grandchildren, Michael & Patrick Benoit and Michael & Matthew Wynne; great grandchildren, Maggie & Raymond Benoit; sisters, Minnie Carlson of Hamden, and Helen Law of New Haven; sister-in-law, Abby Bray of Cheshire. Predeceased by her brothers, Lawrence and Harold Bray. Friends are invited to visit with her family on Saturday, April 13th from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. followed by her Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden.
