In Hamden, August 9, 2007, Frances B. Callahan, 95, of North Haven, mother of Retired Capt. Robert Callahan, New Haven Fire Dept., of New Bern, NC and grandmother of two loving granddaughters, Kelli Callahan of North Haven and Debbie Callahan Morgan of Hamden. She was predeceased by brother Wesley Cooper. Frances was born in West Haven, Sept. 14, 1911, daughter of the late Robert and Mable Talamage Cooper. She worked for Quinnipiac University in the Food Service Department for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She was a resident of North Haven for 30 years, having formerly resided in West Haven. Funeral service Monday, August 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Friends may call prior to the service from 9-11 a.m.
