Frances Fay Hanson, age 89, of Hamden passed away on April 29, 2016. Frances was the widow of Norwood Russell Hanson. Born in Manhatten, New York on April 7, 1927 she was a daughter of the late William H. Kenney & Fern Eleanor Newburg Kenney. She was employed at Yale University as a Project Director of a bereavement study for ten years, later becoming Director of Resource Offices on Disabilities. Frances is survived by her daughter Lesley Fay Hanson of Hamden; her son Trevor Russell Hanson of Sequim, Washington; her grandson Robert N. Hanson of East Longmeadow, MA; her sister Joan Kenney of Plainsborough, NJ and her brother William W. Kenney of East Harwich, MA. A Memorial Service will be held for Frances at the Unitarian Society, 700 Hartford Turnpike, Hamden, CT. on May 15, 2016 at 2:00PM. Interment will be private.
