Frances H. Milroy, 92, wife of William Hamilton Milroy Jr., of Cheshire, passed away at Elim Park on December 10, 2023. Born in Bradley Junction, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie (Anderson) Harper. Frances is survived by her children, Lynn Malone (Ray) of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Laura Nelson of Westbrook, Connecticut and Andrew Hamilton Milroy (Sharon) of Branford, Connecticut; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and her brother, Lowry Harper of Watkinsville, Georgia. She was predeceased by her daughter Katherine Milroy, and siblings William Harper and Anna Jo (Harper) Waterman.
After growing up on a cattle ranch in central Florida, Frances moved to Connecticut to attend UConn. It was during these years that she met her husband, who was attending Yale at the time. The two married, raised their family, and lived most of their lives in Hamden until moving to Elim Park in Cheshire in 2016. Frances was a master gardener, and greatly enjoyed being a member of the Spring Glen Garden Club.
