Francis "Frank" DeNicola passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 25, 2023. He was born on October 13, 1949 in Jersey City, NJ to Madeline and Martin DeNicola. Frank was raised in Bayonne, NJ until attending college in CT at Quinnipiac University, where he graduated in 1971. Frank spent many years as a private investigator in the city of New York.

He was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan and spent many years dedicating his time to coaching youth football in NY, and founding his own softball league, the Lady Redbirds, in Greenwich, CT.

Frank leaves behind his children, Amy and her husband Dan Hickman, Matthew DeNicola, and Erica and her wife Jenna Cutler. "Pop Pop" will be most missed by his granddaughters, Mia, Isabella, and Lorelei. Frank is also survived by his mother, Madeline, and his brother, Philip, and his wife, Maura, along with his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Martin, as well as his spouse, Diane, and their faithful companion Bootsie.

Most recently, he resided in Hamden, CT, where he spent most of his time cheering on the Quinnipiac Bobcats hockey teams. When he was not on campus, he could be found spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored and cherished every day.

Friends are invited to visit with Frank's family on Thursday, November 2nd at Beecher and Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT from 4-7 P.M.
