Frank Joseph Lewis, 88, beloved husband of 64 years to Martha Schweitzer Lewis of Hamden, passed away December 5, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Frank and Mary Gambeski Lewis, and had resided in Hamden for many years. He served in the US Army and the Army Reserves from 1957 to 1963. Frank was a tool designer at Pratt & Whitney for 33 years prior to his retirement.
Father of Deborah Roby of Sebring, FL, Greg (Mary) Lewis and John Lewis of Hamden. Brother of Eugene Lewis of Meadville, PA. Grandfather of Caitlyn Lewis, Lydia Roby and Antonio Roby. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol Cooper, and son-in-law, Javier Roby.
Friends may visit with his family on Thursday, Dec. 8th at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden from 4-6 p.m., and are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., on Friday morning at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors in Centerville Cemetery.
