Gary L. Olson, husband of the late Linda Crum-Olson, passed away into the arms of his Savior on Monday, July 5, 2021. He was 68. He was born in Meriden on March 5, 1953 to the late Wilbur and June (Moore) Olson. Gary graduated from Platt High School and attended Faith Baptist Church in Southington. He was employed at Yarde Metals for many years as a truck driver, from where he retired. Gary enjoyed being with his family and friends. He had a love for fast cars, bowling, and basketball. He is survived by his brother Don Olson and his wife Beverly; nephew Todd Olson; and niece Melissa (Felix) Miranda and their children Alyssa and Tyler Miranda. He is also survived by several cousins.
Friends are invited to visit with Gary's family on Friday, July 9 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in South Norfolk Cemetery.
