Genevieve Holt McLellan, 80, of North Haven, passed away after a short illness on October 2, 2009 at CT Hospice. She was born in Milford on July 3, 1929 to the late Lucius and Edith King Holt. Genevieve is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Bill Vincent of Wallingford, JoAnn and Greg Cartier of Hamden, Lori McLellan of North Haven, Mary and Rick Kiley of Wallingford; grandchildren, RJ Reynolds, Chris and Nick Cartier, Steven, Kayleigh, and Emily Vincent; brother, Norman Holt of Sanbornville, NH. She was predeceased by her son, Jeff McLellan and siblings, Lou Holt and Joyce Holt. Genevieve grew up in Milford before moving to North Haven where she has lived for the last 45 years. She had been employed by SNET, the North Haven School System, and retired from Anthem Blue Cross/ Blue Shield to become a full time gramma. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and will be missed by all. A Funeral Service will be held at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, on Wednesday, October 7th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
