Smith, Georgia Elizabeth Mickle Georgia Elizabeth Mickle Smith, beloved wife of the late Warren Julian Smith, Sr., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wed., Aug. 30, 2006 at the Hospital of St. Raphael. A resident of New Haven and Oak Bluff, MA, she is survived by two children, son, Warren Julian Smith, Jr. (Anita) of Louisville, KY and daughter, Georgia (Mycki) Mickle Smith-Jennings (Tim) of New Haven. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 9 brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cassandra Elizabeth Smith Rush. Born in Winston-Salem, NC, June 17, 1926, she was a daughter of the late George Wright and Lillian Bynum Mickle. Mrs. Smith was an associate vice-president of the Wachovia Bank & Trust and the manager of the Northeast Branch before her retirement in 1999. Friends may call, Fri., Sept. 8 from 6-8 PM at the Russell Funeral Home in Winston-Salem, NC. Funeral Service will be held Sat., Sept. 9 at noon at Hanes CME Memorial Church.
