Gerald L. "Jerry" Bonta, 76, passed away on February 9, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital / St. Raphael Campus. Gerald was born on April 22, 1947 in Bridgeport to the late Lloyd and Eileen (Fitzgerald) Bonta. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Carolynne (Todd) Bonta; his brothers, Gary (Joanne) Bonta of Stratford, David (Danielle) Bonta of Vermont; his sisters, Patricia Conti of Stratford, Diane (Gabe) Pettner of Orange and several nieces and nephews. After living in Woodbury, Jerry made Hamden his home for 40 years. He worked for SNET as an Engineer and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. In his spare time, Gerald could be found on the golf course.
