Gerhard ''Gerry'' G. Korn, 71, of Perry Rd., Hamden entered into rest May 20, 2002. He was the husband of Margaret Maskell Korn. Born in Breslau, Germany June 11, 1930 son of the late Ludwig H. Korn, MD and Alice Katz Korn of Norfolk, VA and was a resident of Hamden for 35 years. He was formerly manager of R & D Operations and Planning for the Research Group at Olin Corporation, retiring in 1982 after 22 years. He earned degrees from William & Mary, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and the University of New Haven, and had served as President of the New Haven Philatelic Society. He is also survived by a daughter Nancy Korn of Chestnut Hill, MA, a son David Korn and his wife Nancy Dickson of Stow, MA and two grandsons, Blake and Drew Korn. Funeral service will be held Friday morning May 24 at 11 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
