Gertrude M Chausse, 97, wife of the late Joseph H. Chausse, formerly of Meriden, died on Friday, March 12, 2010 in Saco, Maine. She was born January 27, 1913 in Meriden a daughter of the late William R. and Bertha (Meyer) Morton Jr.. She was a graduate of Meriden High School class of 1929 and the Stone Business School in 1931. She retired in 1983 from Lane Construction Co. after 44 years of service. She was also a member of All Saints Church before moving to Maine. Gertrude is survived by a godson, George Taylor of Saco, Maine. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Hubbard Chapel at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. The Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden is in charge of the arrangements.
