Meriden - Glenn Newton Felton, Sr., our beloved husband, father and friend passed on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 4:13 a.m. at MidState Medical Center at the age of 74 from his brave and courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on Sept. 27, 1931 in Bayboro, NC, he was the son of the late Roosevelt A. and Eula Felton of Bayboro, NC. He was predeceased by his brothers, Napoleon Felton and Joseph Felton. He was a member of Parker AME Zion Church, a longtime friend and employee of Peter and Cecilia Flagg and a resident of Meriden for over 50 years. Mr. Felton is survived by his wife Jennie Pennyman Felton of Meriden, siblings, Roosevelt Felton, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Agnes Robinson of Albemarle, NC, Lucinda Monk of Bayboro, NC, Flaretta Pennyman of Meriden. His children, Glenn Edward Newton Felton, II, Gary Vernon Felton, Neil Brian Felton, Jennifer Lynn Felton, Natalie Lee Felton of Meriden and Julie Lynna Felton-Harris of East Hartford. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, Latoya, Glenn, Jr. III, Gary, Jr., Nicholas, Jushua, Dimitri, Romello, Joseph, Brittany, DeAndre, Christopher, Justin, Jamie, 2 great-grandchildren, Taylor and Aiden. In addition numerous nieces and nephews. We will miss him so much. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 13 at 10 a.m. at the Parker AME Zion Church, 1280 N. Broad St., Meriden, Rev. Craig M. Hooker will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
