Gloria R. McHugh, 95, of Hamden, wife of the late Edward G. McHugh, passed away at Yale-New Haven Hospital on May 5, 2022. Born in New Haven March 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Gustave and Louise Regionale. She is survived by her loving son, Marc G. McHugh and his wife Margaret (Peggy) Wiggins McHugh of Venice, FL, granddaughter Kellie McHugh Bascon of Marshfield, MA, two great-granddaughters Mia and Marley Bascon, also of Marshfield, and sisters Norma Regionale Gobey of Vallejo, CA and Sandra Regionale Truitt of Murfreesboro, TN.
A graduate of Hamden High School, Gloria also attended Albertus Magnus College, from where she received her Bachelor's degree, and the Quinnipiac University School of Business. For over 40 years, Gloria served as the Executive Director of Alumni Relations at the Yale University School of Law. She was a member of the Mory's Association, notably being among the first group of women permitted to join in 1974. She also greatly enjoyed traveling.
