In New Haven Thursday, March 1, 2007, Gordon Richard Raynor, 82, of Darley Drive, Hamden. Mr. Raynor is survived by his wife Doris Eielson Raynor, brothers Kenneth R. Raynor of New Canaan and Warren R. Raynor of Cheshire, two nieces Silah Larson of Cheshire and Nancy Lee Rubino and husband Guy of Southbury, nephew Hugh Larson and wife Barbara of Bethany and three grandnephews Robert, Joel and Kenneth Rubino. Mr. Raynor was born in New Haven August 2, 1924, a son of the late William and Rena Scott Raynor. He attended Hopkins School and was a 1942 graduate of Hamden High School. While at Hamden High School, he lettered in three sports, football, basketball and baseball. Mr. Raynor spent 4 years in the US Air Force. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and graduated from Virginia Law School. He was a 50 year member of the CT Bar Association. He was also a member of the Masons, Day Spring Lodge #30, the Yale Golf Club and the New Haven Country Club. Funeral service Monday, March 5, 2007 at 10 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Sunday from 3-7 p.m. Interment in Centerville Cemetery.
