In East Haven, April 17, 2004, Gorish ''Zaven'' Mahakian 85, husband of Guldane Keshian Mahakian of 14 James St., East Haven, father of Paul Mahakian and his wife, Eleanor of Hamden, Peter Mahakian of East Haven and the late Henry ''Hank'' Mahakian, brother of Hrach Richard Mahakian and his wife, Audrey of Haines City, FL, cousin of Louise Mahakian of West Haven, Seta Northrop and Sona Olson both of NY, brother-in-law of Patricia Mahakian of Milford, Harry Keshian and his wife, Jan of Branford and Arlene Chouljian of Hawaii. Also survived by 4 grandchildren. Born in Hamden, May 20,1918 a son of the late Khatchadoor and Mary Nordigian Mahakian. Worked as branch manager for Stern & Co. of Orange. A member of Trumbull Lodge # 22 A.F. & A.M. and a Army Veteran of WW II. Funeral service at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Thurs., April 22 at 2:00 PM.
